ALDO SET FOR TITLE SHOT
Jose Aldo is set to face a shot for the title with Mark Hominick. Saturday night at UFC’s Fight for the Troops 2, Mark Hominick quickly dismantled George Roop in less than a minute and a half with a big TKO. Hominick displayed pinpoint accuracy with his hands, and took out his tough teammate George Roop in dominant fashion. Dana White had previously stated that if Hominick won this fight, he would get a title shot at UFC 129 against Jose Aldo. This would be the 2nd Canadian title fight added to the Toronto Rogers Centre show scheduled for April 30th.
The other Canadian on the card didn’t fare as well. Tim Hague was taking on Matt Mitrione but couldn’t mount any offense, Mitrione was able to land some heavy strikes, and take Hague out of his element, and finish him 3 minutes into the first round with Strikes.
